Description

This is part of a series of "stocking stuffer" decks using mostly commons and uncommons along with relatively cheap rares for people looking to gift competitive starter-style decks to friends who haven't yet discovered the game. The decks don't use any cards from retail introductory products as part of the goal of these is to encourage people receiving a deck to purchase those starters.

For this deck, the goal is basically to create Battle Droids and exploit them in order to play bigger units for cheaper. Invisible Hand with at least 4-6 units already on the board including Piett or Motti is almost always a game finisher.

Adding money to the deck: There's not much that can really be used to replace this deck with more expensive cards that would make it better, given the color combos and the design of the leader/deck interaction. Darth Vader unit is a possible option but it doesn't mesh well with the Separatist requirement. The other card I considered was Chancellor Palpatine unit (Twilight) but found it to have similiar issues in terms of interaction. If I had a good series of rounds with Exploit, it could be useful to keep my unit count up for when the Invisible Hand dropped, but that was not a consistent play with the deck and I found having cards like Kraken and Droid Deployment made more sense.
